Flight Ministries is a Non-Profit Organization that wants to get the true word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to where it's needed most. Places like our homes, streets, church, schools, and in our hearts and souls just to name a few. Flight Ministries combines several aspects of praise and worship: various types of music, preaching, a shelter for runaway teens and pregnant teens. The ministry is based in Gallatin, Tennessee, but hopes to spread the word and works of our far beyond the borders of Sumner county as well as the Borders of Tennessee.

As their motto says "Get Involved". There is many, many different ways that you can get involved. You can donate money towards the ministry and its work by becoming a partner, sponsor, or just a friend of the ministry. Although the donation aspect is great they are more interested to have people help, volunteer, and donate their time to the ministry. They are always in need of nurses, teachers, people in the legal field, musicians, and anyone who would like to volunteer to help. Flight Ministries is involved in several activities. They are looking to start a shelter for teens, which we are hoping to get up and running with in the next year. They already have a couple of partners, sponsors, and volunteers willing to donate time and money towards the shelter. Not only will this help those who are in need, but it will help those who are helping and volunteering as well. Volunteering, helping, donating, etc. gives you a feeling of not only helping and doing, but also bring you closer to the Lord. They are going to be holding benefits for the people that are in need. For example: the fire victims in California, hurricane victims in Florida, the meals on wheel programs, other shelters, and other ministries. They want to sow as many seeds as we can so that others can do the same. They plan to hold benefit concerts, dinners, etc. to help bring in money with none of the proceeds going to the ministry, but all the earnings and proceeds to go to those who they are holding the benefit for.

Merlin and Niki note they look forward to getting the chance to work with new people for Flight Ministries. As Luke Chapter 6 Verses 48 & 49 says: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck the house but could not shake it, because it was well built.(49) But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who builds a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck the house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete." As this scripture states, we have to build our foundation on rock and that is what we are doing. We are building our foundation so it cannot and will not be tore down.
